The activity of the reception desk of any gym must run smoothly, that way members won't have to wait for too long. Choosing the right equipment for the reception desk means your receptionists will work faster and better. Help your team get the best results by investing in the proper equipment that will help your people use our gym management software efficiently. The IT equipment at a gym's reception desk means an investment in efficiency and swiftness.
For printing fiscal receipts you can choose between two types of fiscal equipment:
fiscal printer: recommended for gyms with a medium to a large volume of daily transactions; it is fast and silent
cash register: recommended for gyms with a small volume of daily transactions
Barcode readers are used when selling products for a faster process. It is also used for member check-in, using the digital card in the member app or the 7card app.
We recommend using a Motorola Symbol DS2908 barcode reader. We chose this equipment because of its higher response rate, and for the fact that it can read 1D and 2D barcodes.
The time it takes to complete certain tasks is often affected by small screens with low resolution, which makes reading the text harder. To propper use UPfit.cloud, and other similar software, we recommend investing in large computer screens with at least 21.5" in diagonal and a minimum resolution of 1920x1080p.
UPfit.cloud is compatible with any operating system. However, we recommend purchasing a Windows 7 licence or newer, and an Office licence for document management.
Bear in mind that the communication driver for fiscal equipment only works with Windows.
We recommend buying a thermal printer to print out attendance tickets for Group Fitness classes or PT sessions.
Your team at the reception desk needs desktop computers or all-in-one solutions with a large screen of at least 21.5", to use UPfit.cloud at its best.
To check-in members faster, we recommend using magnetic member cards, as well as magnetic card readers.
Member profile pictures can be taken with a webcam, and they are automatically saved to their profile.
UPfit.cloud automatically issues all member contracts, addendums, fiscal invoices and all other necessary documents for gyms. To print out documents which need to be signed and handed to members, we recommend buying a laser printer.
With an e-signature tab, member contracts are quickly signed, directly at the reception desk. The tablet is mounted intro a special stand with a rotating head, and a stylus is used for signing. The documents are electronically archived and sent to members via email automatically.
Our software is integrated with access control equipment that allows restrictions and control member access. You can use turnstiles or dedicated controllers with a QR code.
Member check-in can be done faster using a QR code reader. When scanning the QR code from the mobile app, the system quickly validates the access and displays a browser notification.
We recommend two computers to perform quickly all the necessary actions - product and membership sale, member check-in and so on.
We only sell some of this equipment. The rest can be purchased from our partners.
UPfit.cloud works with any type of computer with Internet access. However, Mac computers cannot be connected to the cash register or the fiscal printer.
The Windows PRO version is optimized for business management and provides better stability and performance.
When thinking about setting up an access control system, you must take into consideration several aspects like traffic volume, areas, member flow at the reception desk. To create the perfect access control system for your location, you can contact us, and we will help you make the right choice, at no extra cost.
To connect a cash register, we only use the FISCAL NET driver.
Apple gave hints about a new virtual fitness service that would be available through an app on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, with a monthly subscription. This is not the first step into the fitness market for the giant tech company, but now Apple will be in direct competition with companies like Peloton and Nike.
